The majority of our investors have come through referral. Squire MIC is becoming increasingly popular with investors by providing:

Security. First and foremost we focus on capital preservation, through careful risk management. Unlike a bond or a bond fund, our mortgage fund is secured by real property. We diversify our mortgage portfolio across several markets, types of mortgages and properties.

Predictable income. We distribute income quarterly, which you can reinvest to earn compounded returns.

Low volatility. Our mortgages are short term in nature (typically 12 months for residential), which acts as a hedge against interest-rate risk and real estate market conditions.

Tax savings. Our mortgage fund is RRSP and RRIF eligible.
Mortgages are originated through mortgage broker partners. We underwrite, fund and manage each of the mortgages in our fund. Our common sense underwriting focuses on: loan to value ratios; location & type of property; borrower credit and debt serviceability; and market analysis. We confirm and verify our analysis by scrutinizing all supporting documentation including; credit reports; approved third-party appraisals; proof of income; NOA’s; etc. We combine this rigorous assessment with our experience and qualitative judgement.
